Are you entitled to claim
Attendance Allowance?
Are you at least 66 years old?
Attendance Allowance is a benefit for those with a disability or condition who require additional support or supervision to perform day-to-day activities.
It is not means-tested, it is tax-free, and could provide up to
£5,880 a year to pay for anything that will make life easier.
At Oakfield, we want to help individuals receive the financial assistance to which they are entitled so they can maintain their independence, pay for additional support where needed, and improve their daily lives.
Do you need help with your personal care, or require supervision to keep you safe?
We can complete and submit your Attendance Allowance form for you, saving you time and significantly increasing the chance that your claim will be approved.
How we can help
To claim Attendance Allowance you must submit a claim form to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The form is over 30 pages long. It is complex and time consuming, and many are unsure of how much or even what type of information to include. Many give up. Of those who do apply on their own, only 40% of claims are successful.
The DWP takes on average 6-12 weeks to process forms, and if your application is unsuccessful, you may need to wait a further 6 months before you can reapply, potentially losing hundreds of pounds in support because you have not documented your additional needs accurately.
At Oakfield, we are specially trained in completing Attendance Allowance forms, ensuring clients' needs are accurately reflected. We have in-depth experience, detailed knowledge and a calm and compassionate approach.
Our services
We offer a three-step service
Eligibility Assessment
When you contact us, we will ask a few questions about your health and ability to perform day-to-day activities to help us establish if you would be eligible to claim Attendance Allowance.
Our fee is only payable once your claim has been approved by the DWP
Form Completion
If you meet the criteria and wish to engage us to complete the application for you, we will arrange a time for a more in-depth discussion to ensure we have all the information we need to fully document your day-to-day needs.
Submission to the DWP
When we have completed the form, we will ask you to approve and sign it. Once you are happy, we will submit it to the DWP.
Oakfield Attendance Services was founded by long-time friends Julia and Caroline
About us
With a background as a care advisor, Julia has talked to hundreds of clients about how to best meet their own or their family member's care and support needs. She fully understands the concerns and sensitivities that people may experience when discussing what can be an emotional issue. Clients often comment on Julia's sympathetic and caring approach, and her clear and concise explanations.
She is keen to assist those who are eligible to receive Attendance Allowance to help make their and their family's life a little easier - whether this is by paying for a taxi, renting a mobility scooter, arranging some pop-in care visits or engaging someone to walk the dog!
Throughout her career, Caroline has helped businesses and organisations navigate the complexities of completing applications to various government bodies. She has worked with large multi-national organisations and individuals, advising on and submitting applications to the Home Office. More recently, she has been involved in education, preparing applications for SEND children.
Caroline became involved in working with Attendance Allowance applications when her parents required additional help. They were both approved to receive the allowance at the higher rate. It became clear to her that this was a little known benefit, which many would qualify for if only they understood how to reflect their needs accurately.
Testimonials
" I found I was increasingly dependent on my wife to help me with day-to-day activities due to the arthritis in my hands, but I did not think I would be eligible for Attendance Allowance because between us we were "coping". I contacted Julia who spent time talking to me to assess if I should apply. She was sensitive, kind and respectful. The form is complex and long, and my wife and I would have given up if we'd had to do it on our own! Julia ensured she had all the information about what I could and could not do as well as the supporting documentation she needed to reflect my needs, and kept me up to date at each stage of the process. I was delighted when I was awarded Attendance Allowance at the higher rate. Without Julia's help I would not be receiving the £110 of benefit per week, which has paid for help in the house to make life a bit easier. I would encourage anyone to engage Oakfield to compete the form on their behalf." - Peter (Hampshire)
"Caroline and Julia provided a brilliant service from start to finish. We had previously applied for Attendance Allowance for our mother but were unsuccessful. It was extremely frustrating as we knew her needs and day-to-day care justified the allowance. Caroline and Julia met with us to go through the complex application, handling the process using their knowledge and experience to ensure that every detail of our Mother's care was accurately represented. They knew how to phrase our daily challenges so it was clear to the DWP what her complex needs are. Due to their support and expertise we were awarded the higher rate. We highly recommend them to anyone needing expert guidance with and AA claim." - Helen and Lisa (Kent)
"I recently used Oakfield Attendance to help with an Attendance Allowance application for my parent, and I was very impressed with their service. They provided clear, practical advice throughout the process, making what initially felt like a complicated application much more manageable. What stood out the most was how thorough they were. They asked all the right questions to ensure I had fully considered every aspect of my parent's needs, including things I might easily have overlooked. This attention to detail meant that the application was as complete and accurate as possible, resulting in the allowance being granted at the higher rate. Overall I found Oakfield Attendance to be knowledgeable, supportive, and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing guidance with Attendance Allowance applications."
